Title Yokohama Seminar for YLE Teachers - November 30th 2013 2013.11.21
Are you looking for some great ideas for teaching English to young learners? If you are, please join us for an afternoon seminar full of great teaching tips and activities that you can use in your classroom to engage young learners in learning English.
 
The seminar, hosted in conjunction with Bright Future, will be held on the 30th of November at the Kanagawa Kenmin Center 2-24-2 Tsuruyacho Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama, 221-0835 and will start at 1:15 pm.
 
The seminars, lead by e-future's Ian Bosiak, will consist of four main sessions. The first session will introduce our new course book Smart English and will feature a selection of activity ideas for using course books to teach young learners. In the second session, Ian will demonstrate some fun and interesting activities for teaching phonics using some of the resources from Smart Phonics. The third session will explore the wonderful world of graded comics for young learners. It will cover activities that teachers can use to incorporate comics into their classrooms. In the fourth session, Ian will describe the how technology is transforming classrooms and engaging students in self-directed learning within a curricular framework. Ian will describe KT OIC's SMARTree English program and discuss how technology is helping students achieve language proficiency.
