Title Hands on History Released 2011.11.15

In an aim to meet the expanding needs of teachers and students, e-future launches the newest addition to its catalog: Hands on History.

Hands on History is a 4-volume series that is very useful for students of English who are learning world history for the first time. In forty concise units, the authors tell the story of human beings, from the very first civilization to modern times, while taking the readers on a lively and exciting journey across the centuries. The passages are written in clear, understandable English and are very well illustrated with colorful pictures and maps to help students comprehend and remember important historical events.

The units provide a number of tools to make learning about history in English attainable to second language learners: simplified language, vocabulary reviews, comprehension checks, maps, timelines, graphic organizers, journal writing activities, and more.

Each student book includes an audio CD with recordings of the reading passages. The series is accompanied by a teacher’s guide.

  • I found them interesting and I think kids would, too. The characters are realistically portrayed with believable dialogue in situations a real kid could find himself in.
